BASE CAMP PACKAGES IN SHELTER
A) 1 DAY AND 1 NIGHT B) 2 DAYS AND 2 NIGHTS C) 3 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS
During these hikes, we go every day to explore the best views of the Chic-Chocs and the McGerrigle. Depending on various factors such as your interests, your hiking level and the weather, your guide will choose with you the destination of the day. For example, we might go to the glacial cirque of “Lac aux Américains” and Mont Xalibu, hike to “Pic de l’Aube” and “Pic du Brûlé” where there are stunning views, or discover the hidden gems of Mont Albert and its caribous. Possibilities are almost endless and fun is guaranteed. Some hikes are in a loop while others are one-way trails.
The day before leaving, we meet in a cabin where we get to know each other around a delicious supper. The next day we have breakfast before leaving for the hike. We eat lunch on the mountain, and we return to the cabin for supper.
Conditions: We offer our hikes anytime between June 25th and mid-October on request, subject to availability of shelters, at least 30 days before the date of arrival. Departures are guaranteed as soon as we confirm a minimum of 4 participants for packages.
Our hikes take place on uneven ground, including varying elevation. They are accessible to anyone in good health with basic hiking experience (day hikes). According to the group capacity, we walk between 4 and 8 hours a day, for a distance ranging from 7 to 18 km (4.5 to 11 miles). We will make sure that everyone can walk at their own rhythm and speed, no matter how strong the group is.
