Prepared by the International Appalachian Trail
This glossary is intended for the use of hikers of the International Appalachian Trail. It assumes that the reader has a working knowledge of the French language, but wishes to supplement his or her vocabulary with the technical and other terms applicable to hiking, backpacking and outdoor life. About 900 such terms are provided.
Since terms vary regionally, it might be of assistance when hikers visit towns along the route to shop and to seek lodging and other services.

Companion Guide to the IAT
The Companion is a guide of excursion which describes mainly the services offered along the International Appalachian Trail. It is used to plan the supplies and formless resources accessible along the your course. lt is significant to be provided with the charts of the various sectors for the comprehension of the instructions of this book. It is small and can line up in a pocket of shirt.
